Thomas Lempertz was born in Pforzheim, Germany. During his studies at the John Cranko School he already appeared with the Stuttgart Ballet as a child prodigy tap dancer in the musical “On Your Toes”. When he graduated in 1994, director Marcia Haydée invited him to join the company. Her successor Reid Anderson promoted Lempertz to soloist. Lempertz danced in the classics and in works by John Cranko, Glen Tetley, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen or Uwe Scholz, he created roles with choreographers like David Bintley, Mauro Bigonzetti, Kevin O’Day, Trey McIntyre, Christian Spuck, Douglas Lee and Marguerite Donlon. He toured many countries with the Stuttgart Ballet.
